Responsive Services
Although school is not the place for “therapy”, I do assist children when they are experiencing difficulties that might hinder their ability
to learn by offering individual and small group counseling. Teacher Referral: Teachers may refer students who may benefit from counseling, and we will contact you to provide further information and to obtain consent if you and your child are interested. Parent Referral: Please feel free to contact me directly if you have concerns and would like us to meet with your child or need help seeking outside resources. Student Referral: Students may also refer themselves by contacting us directly or by leaving a message in the mailbox right outside our room. Topics for ongoing Individual and Group counseling may include but are not limited to: Organization/Academic Skills Friendship/Social Skills Improving Specific Behaviors Anxiety/Stress Anger/Self-Control Coping with Transitions, Family Difficulties, Death, Divorce, etc. |
System Support
As the school counselors, we participate in activities such as AVID, PBIS, Operation School Bell, Spring Testing coordination, and professional development that establishes, maintains and enhances the school as a whole.
